Expert Quality Assurance – Offshore Substation

For a major offshore converter platform project (DC Offshore Wind), we are looking for a Senior Expert Quality Assurance to lead and manage QA/QC activities during construction and fabrication phases.

This role focuses on ensuring that all quality requirements, standards, and client specifications are fully implemented across international production sites.

Your Responsibilities:

• Development, implementation, and monitoring of QA/QC processes within the project

• Creation and approval of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), audit plans, and acceptance procedures

• Definition and monitoring of KPIs to maintain consistent quality standards

• Advisory support to the project management team regarding fabrication quality assurance and control

• Monitoring and enforcing contractor compliance with quality requirements

• Review and follow-up of Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)

• Preparation of inspection reports and monthly quality reports

• Conducting audits to ensure proper implementation of quality management systems

• Coordination and technical leadership of a team of quality inspectors

• Regular reporting from international fabrication yards, including analysis and recommendations

• Supporting risk management and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile:

• University degree in Engineering (Master’s or equivalent)

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in offshore wind projects

• Strong background in welding and coating technologies (e.g., IWE, NACE, FROSIO)

• Experience with fabrication quality control at international production sites

• Knowledge of risk management and audit processes

• Experience with digital project platforms (e.g., Thinkproject, SharePoint, document management systems)

• Very good German (C1) and good English (B2)

• Valid EU work authorization

Project Details:

• Location: Berlin (partial onsite)

• Remote work possible

• International travel to fabrication yards required (~30%)

• Long‑term project assignment
