Expert Quality Assurance (Offshore Wind / Offshore Substation Projects)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Expert to support a large-scale offshore wind infrastructure project during the design and fabrication phases . The role focuses on ensuring consistent quality standards across contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Review and assess project quality documentation from contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and offshore regulations

• Consult on and support the development, approval, and implementation of ITPs, audit plans, acceptance tests, and quality processes

• Define, monitor, and report quality KPIs across the project lifecycle

• Advise the project management team on all quality-related topics

• Implement and monitor quality assurance measures across all involved parties

• Support contractors with NCR documentation , tracking, and follow-up actions

• Review inspection reports, monthly quality reports, and audit results

• Coordinate quality-related workshops and contribute to as-built documentation

• Ensure contractor QMS compliance through audits and continuous monitoring

• Identify and proactively address potential quality risks

Your profile

• Degree in Engineering or a comparable technical qualification

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance within offshore wind or offshore infrastructure projects

• Strong expertise in welding, NDT, and/or protective coating

• Solid understanding of offshore standards and regulations (e.g. DNV, BSH, HSE, industry best practices)

• Experience with risk-based quality management

• Certifications such as FROSIO, IWE, NACE are a strong advantage

• Fluent English (C1 or higher); German is a plus

• Confident communicator, structured thinker, and pragmatic problem solver

Project setup

• Location: Berlin with a hybrid setup (approx. 70% remote / 20% onsite)

• Occasional travel to shipyards in Europe and Asia

• Long-term project with possible extension
