  • Job Type: Part-Time On-Call (PTOC)

PTOC refers to an hourly flexible arrangement for substituting and replacing personnel for planned and unplanned absences at the FAP office. Personnel must be available on short notice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social science from an accredited college or university
  • Experience instructing children and adults in life skills topics (e.g., instructing children, teens, and parents in developing appropriate expectations of each other, relationships, and appropriate interactions in an educational setting)
  • Experience working with individuals that may be reluctant to participate in a self‑improvement program (examples: alcoholics, prisoners, welfare recipients in a mandated job‑finding class)
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing). Ability to communicate in English, supported by references or education evidence
  • Experience utilizing computer programs necessary for accomplishment of duties (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, email). At least one year of experience using these programs in a development and delivery of classes in a military or office setting such as Army Community Service
  • Knowledge of the military system and military family lifestyle
  • Knowledge of the Army Family support system and Army Community Service and its programs

Job Description

  • Conduct FAP briefings and classes on a pre‑scheduled, monthly basis on topics including Family Advocacy Program Overview Briefing, Family Advocacy Program Unit Troop Briefing, Suspected Child Abuse Identification and Reporting, Problematic Sexual Behavior in Children and Youth (PSB CY), Life Skills classes, Couples Communication, Parenting Education, and Community Outreach
  • Lead Community Outreach sessions (2‑4 hours) including radio spots, community expos, information tables, partnerships with other agencies, and attendance at community events
  • Create and update curriculum and training aids as necessary
  • Perform data entry of class and client tracking information in the Client Tracking System no later than three (3) work days of the training/briefing
  • Coordinate quarterly with the FAP Manager to suggest improvements and changes to class content, slides, handouts, and presentation materials
  • Use the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) website to measure customer satisfaction rates for all FAP briefings and classes
  • Work hours are weekdays daily and occasionally before and after hours, including Saturdays, to conduct FAP briefings, classes, and services by request, or deskside on demand
  • Compile monthly training statistics within the USAG Ansbach community

DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status

This position is not eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
