BioProduction Group (BPG) at Thermo Fisher Scientific is dedicated to providing innovative solutions for bioproduction and bioprocessing. Our team focuses on developing and delivering high-quality products and services that support the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and cell and gene therapies.
Within BPG, the Single-Use Technologies Division specializes in developing and manufacturing disposable bioprocessing equipment and systems. These technologies play a crucial role in modern biopharmaceutical production, offering flexibility, reducing cross-contamination risks, and improving efficiency in drug manufacturing processes.
As a member of our team in Germany, you'll be part of a dynamic and diverse European workforce, contributing to our global mission while addressing the specific needs of the German and broader European markets. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with local and international colleagues, leveraging Germany's strong reputation in scientific research and industrial innovation.
This role is based remotely anywhere in Germany and will require up to 75% Travel within the region.

As an Upstream Field Application Scientist within the BioProduction Group, you will serve as a bioprocessing domain expert—helping biotechnology and biopharmaceutical customers accelerate technology adoption, process design, and optimization across upstream workflows.
You will engage customers on a peer-to-peer, application-focused basis, providing technical leadership and process insight before, during, and after the sale. Acting as both a trusted advisor and problem solver, you will ensure customers achieve compliance, speed, and performance using Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions while helping shape future innovations through Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback.
