Job title: Field Applications Manager EMEA
About the opportunity
Epredia is expanding its EMEA team, and we are now looking for a Field Applications Manager EMEA to support our growing customer base.
In this role you will lead on-site application support for advanced diagnostic automation systems used in hospitals and private laboratories.
You will guide and develop a team responsible for installations, technical training, troubleshooting and post-installation support. You will also oversee escalations, drive performance metrics and ensure consistently high customer satisfaction across the region. Working closely with Product Management and R&D, you will help validate new solutions and keep product knowledge current.
It is a dual international role combining leadership of onsite application support teams with direct coverage of the Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg region.
What You Will Do
Team Management
- Lead on-site applications support teams for complex, fully integrated diagnostic automation systems, ensuring high-quality service delivery in hospitals and private laboratories.
- Direct teams in executing installations, network interfacing and post‑installation support for Core Histology instrumentation, software, peripherals and consumables.
- Manage escalations for critical or complex support cases, providing expert guidance to drive timely resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Build, track and manage team performance metrics (response time, first‑visit fix, resolution time), ensuring continuous improvement and customer‑focused outcomes.
Operational Responsibilities
- Execute instrument installations, demos, customer training and technical product support for Anatomical Pathology instrumentation and consumables across the assigned territory.
- Handle product replacement requests, document and follow up on discrepancies/complaints, prepare required work orders, and provide periodic trend and improvement reports to management.
- Support product management and R&D by validating new products, maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, contributing to revenue opportunities and ensuring customers receive accurate product information.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biological Sciences (histology, chemistry, microbiology or related fields) with HT or HTL certification and 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience is required.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end histology laboratory workflows is required.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams diagnosing and resolving issues on complex electronic and mechanical laboratory instrumentation is required.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills, capability of working independently in the field and managing complex schedules with urgency and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and technical writing skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 75 percent, including short-notice trips for urgent customer needs.
- Clean driving licence is required.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in information technology field preferably in a clinical or biosciences environment is an advantage.
