At our site in Böblingen you will find the position of Field Regulations Engineer – Product Environmental Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Track changes to regulatory requirements in EMEA, Asia and the US and translate them into product requirements.
• Manage customer inquiries on regulatory topics and material compliance declarations.
• Maintain and support the "Design for the Environment" guideline.
• Support environmental aspects for all new product development projects & product end‑of‑life.
• Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on environmental aspects.
• Coordinate responsibilities with Product Stewardship.
• Manage Advantest requirements on fulfilling global environmental product compliance.
• Generate routine compliance reports for authorities as necessary.
• Manage RoHS 3, REACH, SCIP & other substance data gathering, compliance and regulatory changes as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor / Master’s degree in electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline – or equivalent experience with demonstrated skill in the required disciplines (including background in chemistry and material sciences).
• 2–3 years’ experience in international regulatory/compliance processes & organizations.
• Strong technical knowledge and skills implementing and complying with environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Battery, Packaging Directives, TSCA, Prop 65, Stockholm Convention.
• Attention to detail, process orientation, bias for action, accountability, data collection & analysis, problem solving, judgement and decision‑making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Project management and presentation skills.
• Pro‑active working style with good business acumen.
