Part‑time, temporary position (24 hours per week) based in our Frankfurt office, running until September 2027.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Financial Analyst responsible for managing financial forecasting as well as actuals control and submission for the DACH region. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for DACH, this role aims to:

  • Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders (Sales, Regional Finance, Customer Fulfillment, and Collections) in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment to ensure accurate performance tracking and achievement of sales, profitability, and working capital targets
  • Drive continuous improvement and simplification across finance processes, both within the team and cross‑functionally
  • Develop into a trusted finance business partner, providing support and insights to the DACH commercial team

What Your Impact Will Be

  • Management of customer benefits (actuals/forecast/accruals)
  • Reporting, analysis and driving actions for improvement of customer profitability
  • Analysis and control of customer promotional budgets
  • Review and approval of on‑invoice promotion discounts
  • Support DACH Commercial Team and EMEA Finance Team with ad‑hoc analyses
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to drive sales, profit and working capital metrics
  • Maintain collaborative relations with European and local teams
  • AR management and Customer Aging follow up
  • Follow up on Customer Credit limit needs
  • Support information on Audit requests

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a finance function
  • Strong accounting knowledge, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Advanced technical skills, particularly in MS Excel (and/or SQL), with the ability to work with and manipulate complex, raw data
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Access); experience with Oracle, AS400, Salesforce, or VBA is an advantage
  • Solid analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify key issues, and recommend as well as implement corrective actions
  • Sound business judgment, with the ability to align decisions to group, division, and corporate objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and functions
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
  • Ability to identify process improvements and share knowledge and best practices with others
  • Self‑starter with a willingness to take ownership, learn quickly, and work independently
  • Good commercial awareness, ideally within a consumer goods, retail, or FMCG environment
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline
  • Very good command of English; German language skills would be an advantage
