Job Description

As a Financial Data Analyst, you’ll bring your technical, analytical, and operational support expertise to work alongside thought leaders in data analytics, digital engineering, and financial management on projects supporting operations across EUCOM and AFRICOM Areas of Responsibility. You’ll use your skills and expertise to integrate, analyze, and improve financial data processes and systems that enable mission execution.

The Opportunity

You’ll work to identify inefficiencies, improve fiscal data workflows, and deliver actionable insights that enhance decision‑making, continuity, and operational effectiveness across complex defense financial systems. This position supports a mission‑essential financial data environment and is structured to encompass two skill sets under one role: process and change management & program support, and data engineering & technical analytics.

What You’ll Work On

• Lead or support change management efforts and workflow improvements.
• Maintain institutional knowledge, SOPs, and process documentation to support continuity of operations.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and compliance‑focused financial analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve reporting processes and data usability.
• Support data transformation, automation, and visualization efforts.
• Integrate and analyze financial data from multiple systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Compile, review, and format fiscal data extracts and reports for leadership awareness.
• Identify trends, recurring issues, and process inefficiencies within financial data workflows.

You Have

• Experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Knowledge of financial data workflows, reporting processes, or fiscal data management.
• Ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies within datasets.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Nice If You Have

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) financial systems, data platforms, or analytics environments.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts such as ETL pipelines, data integration, and automation.
• Knowledge of process improvement or change management methodologies.
• Ability to develop dashboards or data visualizations with tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary range: $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work Model

• Remote: May require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, with possible visits to a customer facility.
• Onsite: Work primarily at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers as required.
