Overview
The Key Leader role is an essential part of the store leadership team, impacting the sales floor team members and guest experience. Key Leaders lead by example, support Educators, enable an outstanding guest experience in the store, and supervise all sales floor operations. They use key performance indicators and metrics to prioritize responsibilities and adapt to daily business challenges.
Key Responsibilities Of The Job
Leadership and People Management
- Continuous learning and development of all team members through direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance; address performance concerns.
- Provide recognition, assess gaps, and document overall performance to support growth.
- Develop, maintain, and share product and company knowledge through appropriate communication channels.
Guest (i.e., Customer) Experience
- Provide salesfloor leadership, plan coverage, and decision-making to maintain efficient operations.
- Support team members to ensure a great guest experience, including assessing guest needs, providing technical product education, and supporting in-store and omnichannel transactions (e.g., online purchase with in-store pickup, phone sales, ship-from-store).
- Interact with guests to provide customized purchase and return solutions and support.
- Provide technical product education by articulating product value and benefits.
- Address guest feedback and concerns to resolve issues.
- Move dynamically on the floor to meet business, team, and guest needs.
Working With Others
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment; welcome and celebrate differences.
- Build supportive and productive relationships with all team members.
- Collaborate to ensure optimal guest experience and support store operations.
Operations
- Review business data and metrics to evaluate progress toward goals and determine if adjustments are warranted.
- Open and close the store according to opening/closing checklists.
- Manage product presentation tasks per company standards (restock, relocate, or remove items as needed).
- Assign Educators cleaning tasks to maintain a premium store environment.
- Ensure the team uses store technology to support operations and positive guest experiences.
- Understand and adhere to people safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws.

- Team leadership with indirect responsibility for a subset of store employees on the floor or as delegated by the Store Manager

Job Requirements
Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have proof of right to work and comply with local requirements (EMEA)
- Must be able to travel to the assigned store with own transportation
Availability
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Other Willingness Requirements
- Willing to work as part of a team and also independently
- Willing to move throughout the store for most of a shift to assist guests and complete tasks
- Willing to move boxes up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
- Willing to work in an environment with bright lights and loud music
Experience
Nice to Have (Job Assets)
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year of retail/sales leadership experience (supervisor or people management not required)
