Working in a fast‑paced environment, the Data Insights Editor’s main role is to create original content, answer requests and provide support for a variety of clients in an ever‑changing marketplace. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with internal partners and show proactivity in their approach with external clients. This role will be primarily remote but will also take place in our clients’ offices and studios during live coverage. It includes flexible working hours in the evenings and at weekends.

Responsibilities

• Use your excellent knowledge of domestic and international men’s and women’s football to create content for a range of clients in the sports media industry, with the help of the Opta database.
• Liaise with our international Data Insights teams to ensure a smooth workflow of content.
• Produce content as part of a team that creates social media content.
• Innovate and display creativity with new ideas on how to use data and enhance its storytelling capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English.
• Excellent knowledge of European football, mainly Germany, Switzerland, Austria and UEFA club competitions.
• Ability to produce data‑focused editorial content and reports to a high standard.
• Understanding of how raw data can be turned into compelling insight and shareable content.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Willingness to fit the sports schedule, working ‘shift based’ role, featuring weekend and night work; must also be flexible and adaptable to changing demands in a diverse and multicultural global environment.
• Ability to work well to tight deadlines in a highly pressurised environment.
• Ability to offer creative and flexible solutions to help develop new ideas and shape innovative data‑led products.
• Awareness and understanding of social media.
