Formulation and DP labs Scientist (gn) 2‑Year Fixed‑Term Contract

Formycon is an international leading, independent developer of high-quality biopharmaceutical medicines, especially biosimilars. With an experienced team comprised of around 200 highly skilled professionals, the company is able to span the entire value chain of biosimilar drug development, from market analysis and target definition by protein analytics, to the development of production processes, to clinical trials and the regulatory approval process.

Our focus is on treatments in ophthalmology and immunology as well as for other key chronic diseases. Formycon is making a major contribution towards providing as many patients as possible with access to vital and affordable medicines.

To support our Formulation Development and DP Labs team in Martinsried near Munich for the duration of two years, we are looking for suitable candidates for this full-time position, to begin work as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

• Design and perform lab experiments, ensure appropriate documentation (preparation of plans, protocols, reports) for drug product formulation and related analytics.
• Design, plan, execute, and interpret experiments to support biosimilar development programs across formulation, analytical development.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets, ensuring data integrity, scientific rigor, and proper documentation.
• Being part of key function at Formycon and contributing to conceiving and creating the drug product of the future.
• Take over responsibility for one or more analytical testing equipment.
• Supervise CROs (conducting formulation development) and external testing labs when necessary and be author of related documentation, as needed.
• Produce high quality documentation and presentations of performed studies and present them to internal and external partners.

Your qualifications

• Degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field plus minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• At least intermediate knowledge in formulation development, protein chemistry and drug product specific analytics
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Independent, careful, and structured way of working
• Strong scientific curiosity and problem-solving mindset
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership in an innovation-oriented environment
• Very good command of spoken and written English.
• Very proficient in MS-Office package
• Very good team player
