Mercura is building AI software for the backbone of our economy. Backed by Y Combinator, we raised a heavily oversubscribed round and surpassed $2M in ARR in our first year. Our mission is to bring AI to the construction industry and other backbone sectors, amplifying human expertise.

About the Role

We’re hiring our first Product Designer to shape the look, feel, and usability of our product. You’ll work closely with our CPO and engineers to design clean, intuitive interfaces for non‑technical users, making complex B2B workflows effortless and AI‑first. In this role, you will own the entire design process end‑to‑end , speaking directly to customers and making core product and UX decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand their problems, lead user‑research projects, and own the design process end‑to‑end
• Build prototypes and test product hypotheses with customers
• Create intuitive, AI‑first interfaces that simplify complex B2B workflows
• Collaborate with engineering to implement new features
• Contribute to brand & marketing materials (website, visuals, presentations)

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer with a strong portfolio in complex B2B SaaS workflows
• Strong customer‑first mindset; enjoy speaking directly to customers to identify pain points
• Highly proficient in Figma and comfortable building prototypes with tools such as Lovable, Cursor
• Experience working in a fast‑paced startup environment and building from the ground up
• Experience shipping frontend changes (React/Tailwind) to production is a plus
• Resides in Munich or willing to relocate
• Fluent in German and English (users are mainly German‑speaking)
