To strengthen our team in Lindenberg im Allgäu, we are currently looking for an FPGA Design Engineer (m/f/d) .

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, and integration of FPGA solutions for safety‑critical aerospace applications
  • Development of RTL modules (VHDL/Verilog), including simulation, synthesis and timing optimization
  • Analysis of system requirements and derivation of technical FPGA specifications
  • Creation of FPGA architectures, design concepts and hardware‑related functional designs
  • Execution of simulations, static timing analysis and debugging on target hardware
  • Documentation in accordance with DO‑254 throughout the entire design and implementation process
  • Close collaboration with systems engineering, verification, hardware and software teams
  • Support integration of FPGA modules into electronic aircraft systems
  • Technical communication with internal stakeholders and external partners

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in FPGA design , ideally within the aerospace or avionics domain
  • Strong knowledge of VHDL/Verilog and hands‑on experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx, Intel, Microchip)
  • Practical experience in modeling, simulation and verification of digital circuits (e.g. ModelSim, Questa, Riviera‑PRO)
  • Experience with safety‑critical development standards, preferably DO‑254
  • Familiarity with requirements engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) is a plus
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, are essential for internal and external communication
