Freelance Senior Cost Controller

I am currently searching for a Freelance Senior Cost Controller for a client of mine working on a major energy‑transition project in Frankfurt. The project includes high‑value procurement, contractor cost management, forecasting, change control, and strict compliance with project cost procedures.

The specific requirement is to join them on a freelance basis, for an initial 12‑month period, with the view to extend.

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Frankfurt

DURATION: 12 Month Rolling Contract – Freelance

Freelance Senior Cost Controller / Frankfurt / 12 months initial

• 10+ years of cost controlling or project controls experience on industrial construction, energy, mining, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of cost engineering principles, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and cost reporting.
• Proven experience working with complex multi‑discipline contractor cost reports, progress validation, change control, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle) and experience with EVM (Earned Value Management).
• Ability to develop and maintain cost baselines, assess financial risks, and support commercial interfaces.
• English and German fluency
