About the role
Freight Manager – EMEA responsible for shaping and executing our freight strategy across the region, with a strong focus on data‑driven decision making. Own freight carrier relationships and performance across EMEA, accountable for daily intercompany shipments and domestic/international inbound and outbound distribution. Lead strategic initiatives to optimise cost, service, and sustainability, using data as your compass. Analyse carrier performance, forecast volumes, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the EMEA freight distribution and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations. Responsible for a £20M+ budget.
- Use data to monitor, analyse, and improve carrier performance, service levels, cost efficiency, and environmental impact.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive tendering processes, contract negotiations, service level agreements, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Supply Chain, Tech, Customer Experience, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and ESG.
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and automation in parcel operations.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.
About you
- Proven experience in freight management within a complex, multi‑country environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Comfortable working with large datasets, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
- Solid knowledge of customs processes, cross‑border procedures, and DG regulations.
- Experience with logistics systems (e.g., Metapack), BI tools, or transport management systems is a plus.
- Availability to travel regularly to Corby HQ and to EU Distribution Centres.
