Fullstack AI Engineer (German-speaking)

Your Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our team as one of the first engineers shaping our stack, UX standards, and delivery speed from day one. You will be designing and developing frontend and backend software features and establish tech stack choices and API standards to build our growing agentic platform.

- Develop Features End-to-End: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Forward Deployed Engineers to build technology that allows new customer-facing features with everything from database models to APIs and UI components.

- Design Agentic UX: Design and build human-in-the-loop controls, monitors, and configuration surfaces that make AI agents intuitive to use. You wire up LLM inference, retrieval, tool/agent orchestration, and evals to launch and productionize new AI integrations into our platform.

- Backend APIs and Integration: Design backend services and clean, typed interfaces with strong observability and CI/CD. Your services function as robust connectors into customer systems and power agentic logic as well as frontend experiences.

- Shape Platform and Infrastructure: Evolve our design system, shared repos, and developer tooling by turning one-offs into libraries, patterns, and platform primitives to compound speed and quality - shaping both our product roadmap and the technical DNA of the company.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You are a curious, pragmatic, and product-minded engineer who thrives on making real things work end-to-end. You care deeply about speed, the elegance of your code and the value it delivers to users - and you’re motivated by the idea of shaping not just a product, but an entirely new category of software.

- Software Engineering: You have strong engineering foundations and quickly write clean, production-ready code. You’re comfortable spinning up full-stack web applications from scratch (e.g. in React, Typescript and NodeJS or Python) and building rich, performant frontends and backend logic to power them.

- Builder at Every Layer: You move comfortably across the stack from data flows and APIs to polished UIs and deployment/ops. You understand how relational data structures, and component architecture shape product experience. You’ve built and owned features end-to-end.

- AI Native: You think like an AI engineer, knowing where AI belongs (and where it doesn’t). You ****build on top of foundation models and understand combining model capabilities with retrieval, voice AI, multi-agent architectures, external tools etc. You’re excited about designing new abstractions for reasoning, memory, and interaction - the emerging blocks of agentic software.

- Platform Instinct: You lay the groundwork for tomorrow’s platform. You enjoy figuring out how a feature, interaction, or model capability can evolve into a reusable system through clear, composable code that is easy for others to build on.
