Your Role

As an Game Designer (LLM) , you will shape the behavior and interactions of NPCs, ensuring they feel intelligent, reactive, and immersive. You will work closely with game designers and AI-developers to design dialogue prompts, personality-driven interactions, and AI-driven gameplay mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine routines and decision-making systems.
• Develop AI-driven dialogue prompts, character personalities and response logic.
• Create villager automation systems, allowing NPCs to assist the player meaningfully.
• Ensure NPC interactions feel organic, contextual, and driven by in-game events.
• Work with gameplay and systems teams to integrate AI with quests, economy, and survival mechanics.
• Analyze player behavior and feedback to improve AI responsiveness.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in AI/gameplay design.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine.
• Any kind of LLM, AI modelling or finetuning models.
• Knowledge of procedural storytelling and generative AI models is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite in Munich, Germany (EU work authorization required).
