SUMMARY

The American Medical Center was established in 2012 to meet the growing healthcare needs of Americans stationed in the Kaiserslautern Military Community. With limited access to on-base care and challenges navigating the German healthcare system, AMC became a trusted resource for high-quality, accessible medical services. As demand increased, AMC expanded its offerings to include family medicine, physical therapy, psychiatry, nutritional counseling, and veterans' evaluations. Today, we operate across two locations and are seeking a General Family Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school, which includes PAs, NPs, and other qualified providers.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Valid medical license to practice as a Family Practice Doctor; a highly desired applicant will hold multiple state licenses.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine or family medicine with emphasis on holistic and natural remedies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to children of all ages and be able to listen to parents' concerns.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess and diagnose a wide range of health conditions
• Conduct routine physical examinations
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses
• Provide primary care with a focus on preventive health
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Assist with minor surgical procedures
• Make appropriate referrals to specialists when needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
