General Field Engineer

This role supports a groundbreaking robotics initiative that is transforming operations in large-scale fulfillment environments. The project introduces an advanced robotic system designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and ergonomics for onsite teams. Built on innovations in robotics, engineering, and physical AI, this technology combines vision and tactile sensing to perform complex item handling tasks with precision and adaptability.

The system is capable of picking and stowing a wide variety of items, reducing physically demanding tasks for employees while improving operational speed and accuracy. It leverages force feedback sensors, intelligent algorithms, and real-world learning to continuously improve performance. By integrating human-robot collaboration, the project aims to set new standards for automation, delivering safer workplaces and faster, more reliable processes.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Project Duration : 12 months and more, initial contract for 6 months

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Upgrades: Coordinate and execute firmware/hardware changes and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Issue Escalation: Identify and escape onsite issues impacting operations to Product Launch Managers and Program Leaders.
• Process Audits: Audit preventative maintenance processes, recommending improvements and simplifications.
• Deployment Management: Prepare and coordinate weekly deployment of images and feature releases.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Escalate software issues and malfunctions to the engineering team for resolution.

Qualifications

• Background in Manufacturing / Engineering / Robotics
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in technical coordination, maintenance, and deployment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with firmware/hardware updates and preventative maintenance practices.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
