General Manager, Domains Business & VP Product Management Location:
South Germany (Munich area)
We are searching for a senior executive with both business leadership and group-level product responsibility. This is a dual mandate role: full general management responsibility for an established domains-focused business, combined with group-level ownership of product management across the wider domains portfolio, including domains, DNS, SSL, and adjacent solutions. The role offers significant commercial accountability, strategic visibility, and direct exposure to executive leadership within an international organization. The successful candidate will lead an organization of approximately 120 employees across product management, B2B sales, and growth marketing.
The opportunity This executive will take ownership of a strategically important business at a time of growth, transformation, and portfolio development. The mandate is to drive performance today while shaping the future product and commercial direction of the broader domains business across the group.
Key responsibilities General Management & Commercial Leadership Own full operational and commercial responsibility for the domains-focused business unit Drive growth, profitability, and long-term value creation Define and execute go-to-market and growth strategies Ensure strong alignment across product, sales, and marketing Capture synergies within a broader group structure Group-Level Product Leadership Own the commercial product strategy for domain-related offerings across the group Define and execute a unified product roadmap across regions and customer segments Drive portfolio standardization, scalability, and operational efficiency Identify market trends, customer needs, and innovation opportunities Functional Leadership Direct leadership of three core areas: Product Management Own product strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and commercial performance Lead platform evolution and partner/vendor strategy Ensure strong cross-functional execution B2B Sales Grow market share across B2B and B2B2C channels Develop data-driven sales strategies and optimize performance Build senior customer and partner relationships Strengthen sales structures, processes, and execution Growth Marketing Build and scale a modern, AI-enabled B2B marketing organization Drive automation, data integration, and demand generation effectiveness Own pipeline generation and marketing-attributed revenue Scale high-impact growth initiatives from pilot to operational maturity Leadership Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across multiple functions Manage a diverse organization including senior managers and direct reports Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and execution Establish clear goals, ROI discipline, and end-to-end performance transparency
Candidate profile Must-have Senior leadership experience in technology, digital infrastructure, cloud, hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, SaaS, or related B2B environments Strong commercial leadership background with P&L responsibility Proven success leading cross-functional teams across product, sales, and/or marketing Strong technical understanding and ability to operate credibly in product-led environments Track record of driving growth, transformation, and organizational scale Highly desirable Experience in internet domains and adjacent services Strong B2B sales and partner ecosystem leadership experience Product management leadership including roadmap ownership and commercialization Exposure to AI-enabled marketing, automation, and data-driven growth Experience in international and matrixed organizations Background Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus Additional context Highly confidential search; company and brand will be disclosed later in the process Combination of operational business leadership and strategic group-level influence Direct exposure to C-level leadership in an international environment
