Global Mobility Business Partner (w/m/d)

Join Fielmann Group as a key partner in shaping global talent mobility. In this role you will be the central liaison between human resources, leadership, payroll, legal, tax and our international sites, ensuring that employees abroad can focus on their work and develop their careers with confidence and the best experience.

In our “Global Mobility” team you will design, optimize and implement the policies, processes and tools that enable international assignments and cross‑border employment across the enterprise while maintaining compliance and creating value for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as strategic and operational advisor to leaders and employees on all matters related to international assignments, cross‑border employment models and talent mobility.
  • Steer and support international mobility cases from planning to repatriation, with a focus on strategic business cases (e.g. expansion, talent development, project staffing).
  • Build and implement standardized Global Mobility policies, processes and packages.
  • Develop and introduce best practices for international assignments (assignments, local hires, business travel, cross‑border work).
  • Manage stakeholder relationships closely with leaders, people business partners, payroll, legal, tax, finance and external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with social insurance, tax, labor and residence law requirements for all mobility cases.
  • Control external service provider costs with a focus on reducing external spend through internal expertise.
  • Partner with the Global Mobility Specialist on shared payroll responsibilities including off‑cycle payroll, statutory and social insurance reviews and annual processing.
  • Promote a positive employee experience through proactive guidance, transparent communication and personalized support for employees abroad.
  • Track and report key metrics (cost, caseload, risks, country insights) to support management decisions.
  • Actively shape Talent Mobility as a people strategy tool for acquisition, retention and development.

Qualifications

  • Degree in HR, business administration or law with an international focus or an equivalent qualification in Global Mobility or international HR management.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Global Mobility, international HR or expatriate management.
  • Proven experience in introducing or optimizing global HR/mobility processes and policy structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of social insurance, tax and residency law in an international context.
  • Excellent expertise in international payroll processes, including off‑cycle payroll.
  • Experience managing external providers (e.g. tax and visa service providers, relocation partners).
  • Very good spoken and written English and German.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills in an international environment.
  • Ability to convey complex subjects appropriately to target audiences.
  • High level of initiative, organisational talent and teamwork.
