What you’ll build

Come join us as a Senior or Expert (f/m/d) in SAP’s Global Procurement Organization (GPO). You will contribute to strategic procurement initiatives, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and help deliver measurable value while ensuring compliant and efficient procurement processes. This role is well suited for professionals who enjoy working in complex, collaborative environments and want to further develop their procurement expertise within a global organization.

Role focus

As a Senior/Expert Category Buyer (f/m/d), you will operate with global scope, leading high-complexity sourcing initiatives and projects while shaping supplier strategies across your assigned category, playing a key role in strengthening procurement’s strategic contribution to the business and ensuring compliance, transparency, and sustainable value delivery.

You will

Lead global, high-complexity procurement initiatives & projects across your specialized Category.
Design and execute sourcing and supplier strategies balancing value, quality, innovation, and risk
Run high-value RFX processes and negotiations, including complex commercial and contractual terms
Actively manage strategic suppliers, supported by market intelligence and benchmarking
Partner closely with (senior) business stakeholders, providing procurement insight and advisory support
Ensure compliance across the Source-to-Pay process and applicable procurement policies
Where applicable, contribute to internal and external knowledge exchange

What you bring

5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within IT Procurement, with specialization in one of the above mentioned categories.
Deep Experience running RFX processes, negotiations, and contract management
Fluency in English verbally & written (German Language skills is an advantage)
University degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain, or a related field

Skills that support success

Advanced stakeholder collaboration and clear communication skills
Structured and analytical approach to problem solving
Deep understanding of supplier markets and value-drivers within the above categories
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international environments
Ability to apply AI technologies in daily work, i.e.. generative AI and AI-driven decision making
Learning agility and comfort navigating change
Procurement or supply-chain certification (or equivalent experience)
Structured decision-making in complex, global environments.
