Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Taking full ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and reporting for all four German entities under HGB and IFRS
• Reviewing and challenging monthly management accounts prepared by the outsourced accounting provider
• Coordinating the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for Germany
• Preparing quarterly finance board packs for the German entities
• Primary point of contact for external auditors, supporting and coordinating tax audits for all German entities
• Coordinating invoicing of management fees, cost recoveries from managed funds and rebate payments to investors
• Reviewing monthly payroll output prepared by the outsourced payroll provider, in coordination with the HR Manager
• Overseeing Tax and VAT submissions and ensuring timely recovery of VAT and other expenses paid on behalf of funds
• Performing monthly regulatory capital calculations and stress testing for the KVG entity as required by BaFin

Job Requirements

• Degree in business administration finance, accounting or a related discipline from a recognized or applied university
• Professional accounting qualification preferred: Bilanzbuchhalter/in (IHK), Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting or finance management, ideally gained in a combination of industry, audit or advisory roles
• Solid working knowledge of both German HGB and IFRS; experience with HGB-to-IFRS conversion is an advantage
• Familiarity with the German regulatory framework, particularly BaFin requirements for Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaften, is highly desirable
• Experience with DATEV, SAP Concur, Hyperion or similar ERP/reporting systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, proactive and solution-oriented
• Business-fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
