Head Dynamics BC Developer

Introduction to the Position

My client is seeking a Head Dynamics BC Developer to lead and advance their Microsoft Dynamics Business Central environment. This senior role combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic oversight, managing a team of Business Central engineers and shaping the ERP roadmap to support international operations.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the ERP strategy, drive technical innovation, and implement best practices across the system landscape. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑performing solutions that directly impact business success.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Dynamics Business Central engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration
• Define and own the technical roadmap for Business Central, ensuring scalability, stability, and alignment with business objectives
• Architect and oversee system customizations and extensions using AL and related technologies
• Drive coding standards, release management, and quality assurance best practices
• Explore and implement new technologies, including cloud services, Power Platform, and AI tools
• Collaborate with product owners, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver robust, business-aligned solutions
• Provide hands‑on guidance on complex challenges while promoting innovation and ownership within the team

Desired Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Dynamics NAV
• 5+ years in a leadership or mentoring role within ERP environments
• Deep expertise in AL programming, Visual Studio Code, and Business Central frameworks
• Strong understanding of system architecture, integrations, and performance optimization
• Experience with APIs, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and AI‑powered tools
• Excellent problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills
• Fluency in English; German is a plus

Salary Budget: €80,000–€120,000, with flexibility to meet market expectations for the right candidate
