Our client

is a global specialist in the manufacturing sector. On behalf of our client we are seeking a

Head Legal

for their European hub to be based in Limburg an der Lahn though a certain extent of home-office days is acceptable.

Key responsibilities:

The incumbent has personnel responsibility for one junior counsel and will be reporting to the Managing Director in Germany and in dotted line to the General Manager of the Legal & Compliance Department of the parent company abroad. The holder of the position will be particularly responsible for the following:

Handling a broad range of legal matters for European entities, with a focus on contract law (in particular development, procurement, and sales agreements) as well as corporate law advice. Supporting dispute resolution in collaboration with the legal team and external counsel. Advising senior management and ensuring effective legal risk management. Coordinating with the head office abroad to ensure a consistent legal approach. Providing strategic legal support to drive business objectives and growth. Identifying and managing key legal and commercial risks, including implementing appropriate controls, policies, and procedures. Ensuring compliance and handling regulatory matters to protect the company and its reputation. Leading and developing team members and contributing to the implementation of regional legal strategies.

Requirements:

German qualified lawyer with at least 7 years post-qualified experience in private practice and/or in-house in an international environment. Relevant experience in the field of commercial and corporate law. Basic knowledge and work experience regarding GDPR and European competition law matters is preferable. Hands-on and goal-orientated personality. Excellent command of English.

Salary:

up to

EUR 160k-170k (no bonus scheme).
