Head of Health (m/f/d) Safety and Environment

Overview

For our renowned customer we are looking for a "Head of Health" (m/f/d) in temporary employment as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, providing guidance and support in their roles
• Develop and execute a comprehensive HSE strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Report to top management on the performance of the HSE management system and any need for improvement
• Lead the planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and review of HSE objectives, targets, aspects, and programs across the organization
• Develop and maintain the occupational safety management system
• Develop, implement, and maintain company HSE frameworks (policies, plans, procedures, manuals, and processes) in line with the regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Ensure compliance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation across the organization. Monitor legislative updates and review the HSE program as required to ensure ongoing compliance
• Lead a program of audit and inspections to measure, and report on compliance across the organization with internal health and safety standards
• Ensure that an adequate program of training for health and safety is established
• Lead digitalization and implementation of required HSE Software’s
• Analyze and report the relevant HSE KPI´s and develop them further in a future oriented manner
• Carries out analysis of safety events, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.

Qualifications

• University degree or completed apprenticeship
• 5-10 years of experience in the area of Health, Safety and Environment, ideally with a background working within the automotive, aerospace or closely related manufacturing and engineering sectors
• Deep understanding of HSE European (preferably German) rules and regulations
• Profound experience in a leadership role and in the management of different teams
• Proficiency in working with MS Office products
• Fluent English language skills required, fluency in German would be beneficial
