Head of Projects – Solar & BESS

Key Responsibilities

Project Development Leadership

• Lead the greenfield development of utility‑scale solar PV and BESS projects from early‑stage development to ready‑to‑build
• Build and manage a structured development pipeline, initially focused on Germany , with international expansion in the medium to long term
• Oversee land acquisition, permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder management
• Act as the senior coordination point between development, EPC, engineering, and external partners

Investment & Commercial Strategy

• Define and execute investment strategies across the project portfolio (hold/sell, partnerships, JV structures)
• Support financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment of development and construction‑stage assets
• Work closely with internal finance and management teams as well as external investors and partners
• Contribute to portfolio optimization and capital allocation decisions

Organizational & Strategic Interface

• Leverage an established EPC and engineering platform to ensure technically and commercially bankable projects
• Establish scalable development processes and best practices suitable for international rollout
• Support management in strategic decision‑making related to growth and market entry

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in renewable energy project development , preferably solar PV and/or BESS
• Strong exposure to investment strategy, project finance, or commercial structuring in the energy sector
• In‑depth knowledge of the German renewable energy market , including permitting and grid access
• Proven ability to work effectively with EPC, engineering, and finance teams
• Strategic, commercially minded, and execution‑focused
• Open to international scope over time
• Fluent in German and English
