Head of Software Engineering

to lead and scale our engineering organisation. In this role, you will define the technical strategy, guide engineering teams, and ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable software platforms used in complex operational environments.

You will work closely with leadership, product, and domain experts to translate mission requirements into robust technical solutions.

What you will do Lead the engineering strategy and technical roadmap Build and manage high-performing software engineering teams Oversee system architecture and platform scalability Ensure delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality software Establish strong engineering processes, tooling, and best practices Collaborate with product and leadership to deliver mission-critical capabilities

What we’re looking for 10+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years leading engineering teams or organisations Background in defence, robotics, or deep-tech companies is required Experience building complex, high-reliability software systems Strong expertise in modern software architectures and cloud platforms Hands-on development experience in modern programming languages Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have Experience in defence, aerospace, or other mission-critical environments Experience building secure or regulated software systems Experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth companies
