Health Safety Environment Engineer - Contract

Acts as the permanent onsite HSE representative with SiGeKo (Sicherheits- und Gesundheitsschutzkoordination) responsibilities as required. Ensures all works follow German HSE law, client requirements, safety plans, and ensures contractor compliance.

Key Responsibilities SiGeKo Duties Perform legal functions as SiGeKo under German Construction Site Ordinance (BaustellV). Review Safety & Health Plan (SiGePlan) and ensure contractor alignment. Conduct daily toolbox talks, behavioral safety checks, equipment inspections. HSE Oversight Validate HSE documentation, risk assessments, lifting plans, confined space entries. Conduct incident/near‑miss reporting per client requirements. Verify PPE compliance, equipment certifications, machinery safety. Monitor contractor compliance with HSE KPIs. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with PM/DPM for weekly reporting. Participate in HAZOP workshops Experience 5–10 years HSE experience in power/construction projects in Germany. Certified
