About The Role

As a Senior Account Manager for McDonald’s Germany, you will lead the commercial relationship and account strategy, acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders. You’ll drive growth by developing a robust opportunity pipeline, aligning customer objectives with Kerry’s strategic priorities, and ensuring value creation through cross-functional collaboration. The role combines account planning, demand forecasting, pricing, and contract management with a strong focus on delivering sustainable margins and best-in-class customer experience. Regular travel across Germany and Europe is required to maintain strong partnerships and market insight.

Location: Germany (Home office with travel to Munich)

Languages: Fluent German & English

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own the McDonald’s Germany commercial relationship and account strategy, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Build senior relationships locally, regionally, and ensure clear touchpoints and consistent engagement.
  • Develop and convert a robust opportunity pipeline aligned to strategic priorities and financial targets.
  • Accountable for the understanding of the customer’s objectives & growth strategies and effective communication of these insights to the internal team.
  • Identify relevant insights / needs to achieve value creation for Kerry and the customer.
  • Partner with Marketing & Applications to ensure all engagements are effective & deliver growth.
  • Responsible for account planning through cross-functional collaboration & validation from the customer.
  • Demand forecasting and budget setting with regular internal performance reporting versus targets.
  • Commercial pricing and contract management to minimise risk and deliver sustainable margins.
  • Provides competitor and market intelligence to inform business terms and service level enhancements.
  • Travel regularly within Germany and Europe to customer and internal locations.

Qualifications

  • Fluent German and strong English; based in Germany.
  • Solid Account Management experience in food, foodservice, QSR, FMCG, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience of managing Global / Strategic Growth accounts essential
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable & sustainable growth with a value creation mindset
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
  • Solutions focused and committed to delivering best in class customer experience
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and resilience to adapt when challenges arise
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with a passion for teamwork
  • Skilled at building and managing multiple relationships, internally and with the customer
  • Willingness to travel regularly as part of the role
