Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Strategic Buyer / Category Manager based in Straubing. The position involves developing and implementing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain processes to ensure value creation. Key tasks include conducting supplier negotiations, analyzing procurement markets, implementing cost reduction initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to meet procurement objectives. The role demands a strategic approach to sourcing and supplier management while adhering to company quality standards and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and experience with category management
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in tools and systems used for procurement and supply chain management
• Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is a plus
