HVDC Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) - Communication and Network Technology

Key Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for the networks and individual components of the SCADA level, which are used in the control systems for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission projects.
- You are responsible for the commissioning of the mostly TCP-based network infrastructure and the maintenance and monitoring of the HMI concept, as well as its adaptation to specific requirements.
- In addition, with responsibility for time synchronization and the local and remote signal converters, you serve as the interface to all other participating signal providers.
- You plan and conduct training sessions on network/HMI/signal converters for our internal employees and external customers.
- Finally, you will support the other commissioning components and the after-sales team in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces and in maintaining the interoperability of the various systems.
- Supporting the commissioning management team in quality, risk, and claim management.
- Participating in improvement programs (including Lean, reviews, and lessons learned).
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Completed degree in electrical engineering or several years of practical professional experience in systematically troubleshooting complex electrical and/or electronic systems.
- An affinity for working with and on computers, as well as basic knowledge of programming and process visualization, are required.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, domains, and an understanding of IT security are required.
- You have good English skills. Additional language skills are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally and undertake assignments lasting several months at construction sites both domestically and abroad, with the option of assignments on offshore platforms.
