Identity and Access Management Manager (m/f/d)

Amer Sports is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management Manager (m/f/d) to lead the global Identity & Access Management function. The role is responsible for the strategic development, operational stability, and governance of IAM services across Amer Sports and its brands.

The position combines disciplinary and functional leadership with global service ownership. You will ensure that identity platforms and processes meet enterprise security, compliance, and operational requirements while supporting the company’s cloud and digital transformation initiatives.

What you will be doing:

Global IAM Service Ownership

  • Own and further develop IAM as a global IT service (roadmap, service levels, governance model, and prioritization).
  • Define and enforce IAM standards, policies, and controls across authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, governance, and privileged access.
  • Align IAM strategy with IT Operations, Cyber Security, and enterprise architecture requirements.
  • Represent IAM in architecture boards, cross-functional committees, and audit engagements.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the IAM team (Architect and Engineers).
  • Ensure clear role definition, accountability, and high-quality delivery.
  • Manage resource planning, prioritization, and performance in a global setup.
  • Promote continuous professional development within the team.

Operations & Platform Governance

  • Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of IAM platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Federation / SSO, MFA, PIM / PAM).
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, lifecycle integrity, and platform performance.
  • Establish and optimize standardized processes and automation (e.g., access requests, provisioning, Joiner–Mover–Leaver).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to service performance, compliance, and security outcomes.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Define governance and decision frameworks for SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, JML, and privileged access.
  • Ensure timely execution of access reviews and compliance activities (SOX / ITGC).
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure appropriate documentation standards (architecture documents, process descriptions, runbooks).
  • Act as key contact for IAM-related risk and compliance topics.

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Identity & Access Management , including leadership responsibility in complex IT environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM concepts (authentication, authorization, identity governance, privileged access management).
  • Practical experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, Active Directory (AD DS) , SSO standards (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC), MFA, Conditional Access , and PIM / PAM solutions .
  • Sound understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, ITGC) and IT control environments .
  • Experience in managing technical teams and driving delivery in international environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or comparable qualification.
  • Excellent English language skills; German language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Structured, reliable, and solution‑oriented working style.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator, Azure Administrator, ITIL) are considered beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a multicultural, globally distributed environment, adapting communication and leadership style to different cultures, time zones, and regional priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to approach challenges with a critical and innovative mindset.
