Industrial Engineer / Configuration manager

This Position reports to: Industrial Engineer (DFX Expert) Your Role And Responsibilities We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to start working as part of our Process Control Platform (PCP), a unit within ABB Business Area Process Automation. PCP develops automation products - hardware and software - for monitoring, process control and optimization. We have automation products for all kind of industries. As an industrial engineer, you will be closely working with ABB sub contractors for production (EMS), closely tracking ABB assets register, maintaining information distribution through Jira platform. Close collaboration with other ABB teams (supplier quality, R&D, planning, fulfillment, logistics) will be within daily operations. Production process knowledge will be used to grade suppliers production quality together with other ABB teams. Industrial Engineers are a key element in PCP hardware value chain to ensure quality and performance of technical solution and production, hence a key element to positive business development and customer satisfaction. Main Accountabilities: Evaluating supplier capabilities in regards to ABB production requirementsRegistration and maintenance of ABB owned equipment in close cooperation with suppliers and equipment manufacturersDaily monitoring and information control in online ticket system JiraWork in close collaboration with supplier quality engineers to identify process flaws and work towards improvementsClose collaboration with manufacturing partners, problem solving and supportContinuous process improvements within ABB Qualifications For The Role Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware development, Industrial/process Engineering, configuration managementExperience in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) or introduction of new products in mass production or similarGood communication skills and works well with othersGood oral and written EnglishFocused quality mindset – aiming for perfection, high attention to detailsOpen and global mindsetKnowledge of production processes, hardware design is beneficialKnowledge of IPC electronics standards is beneficialKnowledge of LabView and TestStand as advantage We value people from different backgrounds.
