Information Technology Project Manager

IT Project Manager Relocation – Hamburg – 6-12mths+

My client are looking to recruit an IT Project Manager to join their busy team on a long term freelance basis – the work can be performed in either Hamburg or Munich and so candidates in proximity to these locations are of particular interest. The role can be described as follows:

Role Description:

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, planning, and execution of all IT related activities in Next project. She/He acts as the central interface between local IT teams, global IT teams (Connectivity, Lab IT, Workplace IT), Facility Management (FM), construction project teams, as well as external service providers.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders and team members to define and get agreement on project objectives, scope, budget, constraints and assumptions. Develop and maintain project organization chart and roaster including participant names, roles, and responsibilities. Develop project governance guidelines Develop and maintain project schedule including detailed activities by track, critical path, dependencies and task owners. Set up and facilitate project meetings for periodic updates and for specific topics such as issues resolution, risk management, scheduling updates, etc. Work with stakeholders and team members to address issues and risk management Publish periodic status reports Coordination and Interactions Work with Connectivity team to obtain a Network design and implementation plan and execution (WAN,LAN,SDWAN) Work with Unified Communications team to obtain an implementation plan and execution for Videoconference, Telephony, and Digital Signage Work with Printing Services team to obtain an implementation plan and execution for Printing services Work with Space Planning, Facilities and On-Site support team to obtain an implementation plan and execution for Equipped Shared Office spaces Work with Labs IT Support team and Labs Managers to obtain an implementation plan and execution for Lab’s relocation Construction and move coordination: Work with ALL tracks to ensure requirements are gathered, accepted, visible and used during space planning, construction and services installation Decommissioning of existing sites: Work with ALL tracks to Planning the secure shutdown, deinstallation, disposal, or reuse of IT systems in compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements

Qualification Requirements

Experience in IT project management, global IT structures, workplace IT and understanding of network infrastructures. Excellent communication and documentation skills in German and English Proactive stakeholder management, structured working style.
