Your tasks and responsibilities
- You strengthen our global innovation management to foster the innovation process, global exchange formats, and innovation culture across departments and locations within the Magnetic Resonance (MR) business.
- With your creativity, you initiate and support initiatives that drive technological innovation in alignment with our business strategy and maintain a sustainable innovation pipeline.
- You ensure that new technologies are systematically transformed into market‑ready, economically viable innovations.
- You analyze technologies with regard to their potential for the business area, including supporting patent activities and M&A projects.
- You establish new and maintain existing global relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as collaboration and cooperation partners.
- You support and advise MR management in evaluating and prioritizing strategic options.

Your qualifications and experience
- You hold a PhD in an engineering, medical, or natural science discipline or a comparable field; an MBA is an advantage.
- You bring broad knowledge of relevant technologies in diagnostic imaging, digitalization, and AI.
- You have several years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: innovation, technology, digitalization—and ideally have already led larger projects.
- Ideally, you have in‑depth knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and clinical experience in this field.
- Your scientific background—demonstrated through publications/patents, your active network in the scientific medical imaging community, and your strong understanding of business models round off your profile.
Your attributes and skills
- You are able to assess technology potential and technology readiness levels.
- You have strong communication skills and can easily engage with experts across business units, cultures, and management levels in an international environment.
- You have excellent English skills; solid German skills are a clear advantage.
- You convince with your methodical and creative mindset as well as strong analytical and organizational abilities.
