The Opportunity

My client is bringing together two powerhouse companies across Europe and Southern Africa to build a next-generation, end-to-end business in the Medical Cannabis sector.

Business 1: (Europe-based) brings strong pharmaceutical development capabilities, regulatory expertise, and an established distribution network. It works closely with physicians and pharmacies and also operates patient-facing clinics, giving it deep access to key European markets and a strong commercial and regulatory footprint.

Business 2: (Southern Africa-based) is a leading EU-GMP certified cultivator and extractor of medical cannabis, with large-scale production capacity, a strong quality focus, and a proven track record of supplying global markets reliably and at scale.

Together, they are merging to form a fully integrated platform that connects every part of the value chain. From cultivation and extraction through to pharma development, regulatory execution, and direct patient access across multiple international markets.

They’re looking for a high-impact Project Manager to sit at the heart of the transaction and integration. You’ll be driving the M&A execution, coordinating stakeholders across multiple countries, and then leading the post-merger integration across operations, finance, regulatory, systems, and commercial workstreams.

  • Translate strategic objectives into clear workstreams with responsibilities and milestones
  • Coordinate integration across:
    • Operations & supply chain
    • Finance & reporting
    • Regulatory & compliance
    • Commercial and go-to-market activities
    • IT systems and data infrastructure
    • Quality management and governance
    • Procurement and supplier base
  • Ensure business continuity, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Track and report synergies and operational improvements
  • Act as a central interface across international teams, coordinating senior stakeholders
  • Lead integration governance, progress reviews, and executive reporting

Key Deliverables

  • Transaction execution plan and tracker
  • Complete Day-1 readiness plan
