Interim Head of School (Primary School)

Overview

Panoramic Associates is supporting a mainstream primary school in the South West. The school requires an interim Head of School to start ASAP and remain in post until July 2026. The current Head is leaving in December, and the Trust has requested that the interim Head join promptly to allow a sufficient handover period.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the school.
• Drive forward improvements in preparation for the upcoming Ofsted inspection.
• Guide the school through the Ofsted window, working closely with the trust.
• Support the school in achieving its strategic objectives for the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Headteacher.
• Experience in a primary school environment and familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes.
• Preferably a SENCo or with SENCo experience (not essential).
• Day‑rate contract within IR35.
• Positive DBS update service preferred but not essential.

Contract Details

• Fixed term: full academic year, 5 days per week.
• Paid on a day‑rate basis inside IR35.
• Start date: ASAP.
