Intern (m/f/d) Hardware-In-The-Loop Software Engineering

Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Augsburg is looking for a motivated Intern in the Avionics department. You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply for us.

Your Tasks

• Design, develop and build test platforms to effectively validate Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) software
• Create software that enables tests to be run in a hardware-in-the-loop (HITL, HIL) environment
• Develop tools for flight data emulation and test data analysis as part of a continuous integration and release system
• Implement DevOps processes to improve the speed and quality of software delivery
• Work at integration and debugging of avionics devices

Your Qualifications

• Current student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline
• Fluent in spoken and written English (all day-to-day activities will be conducted in English)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous and challenging environment
• Experience in Python and Bash scripting as well as one of the following languages: C++, Rust, C
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience with MATLAB or LabView is considered beneficial
• Understanding of network-based communication protocols and associated debugging tools
• Ability to work hands‑on with avionics and IT hardware
