Intern Powerplant Engineering (all genders)

The Powerplant Engineering department at MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH is responsible for the entire technical execution of engine maintenance and acts as a central interface between operational areas, material supply, and account management. Additionally, a key focus of Powerplant Engineering is the investigation and optimization of economic and technical potentials in engine maintenance. In this context, creative and innovative solutions are developed and implemented into the maintenance processes to continuously enhance the competitiveness of MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH.

TASKS

Support engineers in the operational processes of engine maintenance (from order preparation to engine disassembly, repair, and acceptance test runs)
Conduct experimental and conceptual activities in the fields of engine technology and performance
Evaluate test runs regarding performance and vibration behavior
Create engine documentation for customers
Assist in damage assessment and documentation
Prepare and analyze technical documents and databases

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field of study
Good academic performance in the area of turbomachinery
Well-founded MS Office skills
Avanced German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Strong analytical abilities, quick comprehension, and organizational skills
Independent and structured working style
High communication and teamwork skills
Strong initiative and flexibility

Starting date is always the 1st of each month.
