Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Steuerberater in Germany to join us as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise advising expatriates living in Germany as well as German nationals residing abroad. You will work directly with international clients, providing high-level tax planning, compliance, and cross-border structuring to optimize global tax exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise expatriates in Germany and German nationals abroad on personal and corporate tax matters.
• Develop and implement tax optimization strategies for cross-border structures.
• Provide expertise in double taxation treaties, wealth tax planning, and international compliance.
• Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and related filings for clients with international exposure.
• Collaborate with Agroup Consulting’s global team to deliver integrated, multi-jurisdictional solutions.
• Ensure clear communication with clients in both German and English.

Requirements

• Licensed Steuerberater (Germany) with valid accreditation.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Master’s in Taxation/Business Law.
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience with proven expertise in international taxation.
• In-depth knowledge of German tax law, double taxation agreements, and wealth structuring.
• Professional-level English (spoken and written).
• Native German language
• Strong track record advising expatriates and globally mobile clients.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with international teams.

Contract Details
