Investment Banking Analyst / Associate (Tech M&A) | Munich

We are working with a leading international investment bank focused on technology M&A, advising founders, corporates and private equity investors on sell‑side and buy‑side transactions across Europe and globally.

About the Role

The team is looking to hire an Analyst (3rd year) or Associate (1–2 years) to support execution across multiple active mandates in software, digital infrastructure and tech‑enabled services.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute end‑to‑end M&A transactions (primarily sell‑side)
• Build and own financial models (DCF, LBO, comps)
• Prepare investment memoranda, teasers, and client materials
• Coordinate due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders
• Interact with buyers, investors, and senior client teams

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A)
• Strong exposure to transaction execution (sell‑side preferred)
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
• Experience working on €50m–€500m+ transactions
• Exposure to technology, software, digital infrastructure or tech‑enabled sectors is a strong plus
• Fluent English (additional European languages are a plus)
