Investment Banking Vice President, Frankfurt

Overview

A leading international corporate and investment banking platform is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Investment Banking team in Frankfurt. The role sits within a well‑established European franchise, offering exposure to high‑profile clients across Germany and broader EMEA, with a particular focus on complex financing and strategic advisory mandates.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project execution, deal structuring and client relationship management, while acting as a bridge between senior bankers and junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of investment banking transactions, including M&A, leveraged finance, structured financings and related capital markets activities
• Act as day‑to‑day project manager on live transactions, coordinating internal teams across product, risk, credit and legal functions
• Prepare and review high‑quality client materials, including pitch books, financial models, transaction documentation and investment committee memoranda
• Support senior bankers in originating new business and developing long‑term client relationships with corporates, financial sponsors and institutional clients
• Take an active role in client meetings, negotiations and due diligence processes
• Oversee and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring high execution standards and professional development within the team
• Contribute to the ongoing development of sector and product expertise, including market analysis and thought leadership

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience within Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Leveraged Finance, ideally within a large international banking institution
• Strong execution track record across M&A, acquisition finance, structured lending or related advisory products
• Advanced financial modelling, valuation and credit analysis skills
• Solid understanding of capital structures, risk assessment and transaction structuring
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Experience working with multinational clients and cross‑border transactions
• Fluency in English and German is required
