We are partnering with a leading middle‑market private equity fund based in Germany, focused on long‑term investments within the Energy space.

With a strategy focused on platforms within energy, infrastructure, and asset‑heavy sectors, we are working closely to accelerate their growth going into 2026.

Position Overview

The fund is seeking a Investment Manager or Snr Associate (DoE) to join its Frankfurt office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated investment professional to gain end‑to‑end deal experience and work directly with senior investment professionals, portfolio company executives, and external advisors.

Candidates with prior exposure to energy, infrastructure, or other asset‑intensive industries—either through investment banking, consulting, or private equity—will be particularly well‑suited to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market analyses to identify attractive investment opportunities across sectors, with a focus on energy transition, infrastructure, and asset-based platforms
• Build and maintain relationships with bankers, advisors, and industry experts to support deal origination
• Support deal execution, including due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, industry research, and transaction structuring
• Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to the investment committee
• Collaborate with portfolio company management teams on value creation initiatives, operational improvements, and strategic growth projects
• Monitor ongoing portfolio performance, including financial and operational KPIs

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4–8+ years of Investment Banking or fund experience within energy, infrastructure or industrials
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively in small, lean deal teams
• Passion for private equity investing and value creation
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (top‑tier university preferred) & relevant internships
