As a Investment Readiness Manager (m/f/d) , you will be part of the Capital Access Team in the deep-tech accelerator XPRENEURS at UnternehmerTUM . You will work closely with founders, investors, and partners to optimally prepare technology-driven startups for fundraising rounds. Your contribution helps bring innovations to market faster and create sustainable impact.
This position is initially limited to 2 years due to project duration, but with long-term position planned afterwards.
Your Responsibilities
Investment Readiness (40%)
- Conduct structured investment readiness assessments for deep-tech startups
- Develop concrete action plans to improve fundraising capabilities
- Analyze and further develop pitch decks, financial models, and investor narratives
- Prepare founders for investor meetings and due diligence processes
- Advise startups on fundraising strategies (investor targeting, timing, positioning)
- Ensure strong fit between startups and investors based on maturity level, technology, and capital needs
Program Delivery & Collaboration (30%)
- Coordinate experts and coaches to provide targeted support for startups
- Work closely with investor-facing teams and event formats to prepare high-quality investor interactions
- Further develop scalable processes to support a growing startup portfolio
Your Profile
- Several years of practical experience (approx. 2–4 years) in venture capital, corporate venture capital, or the startup ecosystem, with a focus on tech-driven companies and fundraising
- Strong understanding of due diligence processes and investor evaluation criteria
- Proven ability to analyze and improve fundraising materials, especially pitch decks and financial models
- Experience preparing founders for investor discussions and acting as a sparring partner
- Ability to structure fundraising strategies and connect startups with suitable investors
- Structured, proactive, and independent working style with a strong attention to quality
- Hands-on mentality and motivation to actively support deep-tech startups in their growth journey
- University degree (at least bachelor’s level or equivalent qualification)
