Investment Strategist - Global Rates, Macro & FX (m/f/d)

Job Purpose/role

Our group investment strategy function designs and implements the investment strategy for insurance portfolios worldwide and jointly with Allianz's local managers. We work with colleagues within the global network of Allianz Investment Management, Group Economic Research, and asset managers to develop Allianz Group's investment strategy and tailor it to specific needs of portfolios. You will report to the Global Head of Rates & Emerging Markets, create research and develop investment strategies in global rates and FX to support sustainable performance and value creation for Allianz, clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive economic research and capital market analysis, related to rates and FX markets in developed and emerging markets, to identify regime changes, trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Perform such research on asset and cross‑asset / cross‑currency basis, underpinned by quantitative analysis and integrated with the Allianz economic outlook.
• Help implement AI solutions and data‑driven analytics within Group Investment Strategy.
• Develop and implement investment strategies aimed at optimizing risk‑adjusted returns, provide actionable investment recommendations for investment committees, internal stakeholders and external communication.
• Manage internal investment processes, support local investment functions, provide capital market and investment portfolio information to internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements / Skills / Experience

• Up to 5 years of investment experience in investment management, asset management or capital markets‑related economic research.
• Excellent quantitative skills, analytical creativity, and toolkit (MS Office, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Python, and AI/ML).
• Ability to work independently, but also to collaborate with different teams in an international setting to achieve common goals.
• Fast learner, combining advanced analytical skills supported by curiosity and a critical mind.
