To strengthen our IT department, which currently has around 175 employees, we are looking for an
IT Administrator (m/f/d) Firewall and Network Security
Your tasks - Support and further development of the IT network landscape with a focus on Cisco and Fortinet technologies
- Installation, administration, and operation of network components
- Administration in the specialist areas of firewalls, network segmentation, network access control, remote access (VPN), and remote maintenance
- User support and order and fault processing in the task environment (incident and change management)
- Creation of technical documentation, network plans, and reports
- Coordination of internal and external service providers
Your profile - Successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable field of study
- Alternatively, completed IT training in conjunction with relevant professional experience in network administration
- Alternatively, several years of relevant professional experience in the described area of responsibility (if the requirements are met on the basis of several years of relevant professional experience without a university degree, the pay grade will be lower)
- In-depth knowledge of network fundamentals (routing and switching) as well as firewall and/or network access control (NAC)
- Interest in innovative network technologies and willingness to engage in continuous professional development
- Analytical, logical, and structured thinking skills
- Independent, self-reliant and goal-oriented approach to work
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
- Organizational and coordination skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally; driver's license is desirable
