Welcome to the IT department of the Bürgerschaft Chancellery!
The Bürgerschaft Chancellery is the administrative body of the Parliament of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. As the parliamentary administration, it is responsible in particular for preparing and following up on the meetings of the Parliament and its committees, as well as for supporting the members of parliament and parliamentary groups in their parliamentary work.
The IT Department, which currently has 13 employees, plays an important role in this. Its services include advising users on all digitization issues, as well as the forward-looking orientation of IT processes and the hardware and software landscape in independent operation with a stable technical infrastructure, and the technical equipment of approximately 300 workstations. In addition, the committees of the Hamburg Parliament are provided with comprehensive technical support and specialist applications.

Your tasks
You.. - design a modern IT application architecture (for the Parliament) – process-oriented, technically sustainable, and information-secure
- provide decisive impetus with your ideas as you promote the topic of digital administration/digital citizenship from an IT security perspective in close dialogue with all process participants
- In the role of IT analyst, you will work with the specialist departments and political groups to define the technical requirements for servers and databases and the technical specifications for business processes, as well as managing the IT implementation of these topics in projects
- Act as the communicative link between specialist departments, the IT team, suppliers, and Dataport (the IT service provider for public administration) in all project phases
- Represent the information security officer and ensure the continuous monitoring and adaptation of information security issues in IT operations
Requirements profile Your profile
Required - You have a university degree (master's or equivalent) in computer science or a comparable field of study, or
- equivalent skills and experience
- You have good written and spoken German skills (at least level C1) and the result of an upcoming security check in accordance with § 9 HmbSÜGG (Ü2) will be unobjectionable
Advantageous - Many years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Knowledge of BSI basic protection and additional IT security fundamentals and methods
- Knowledge of requirements management and system integration
- Ideally, routine experience in working with collaboration environments, IT process standards (ITIL), and various project methods and process modeling. (BPNM)
- A team player with strong communication and moderation skills who can easily convey complex IT topics to various discussion partners (including IT novices) and groups in a clear and impressive manner
