IT Infrastructure and Virtualization Engineer

For our long-standing business partner Airbus Secure Land Communications (CCG), we are looking for you as a new employee of Tintschl Technik GmbH.

The position holder (d/m/w) works as IT Infrastructure and Virtualization Engineer.

Your Tasks

• Analyze, reproduce and document reported issues within bug tickets for server and virtualization environments
• Collaborate closely with development, system engineering and quality assurance for issue assessment
• Create and execute test cases based on system requirements
• Maintain and further develop IT server virtualization environments
• Support implementation of IT infrastructures, troubleshooting and documentation
• Develop solution approaches for complex incident tickets at system and application level, reproduce solutions in test labs and document work steps
• Install and test patches for hardware and software components, especially in virtualized and nested virtualized systems

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Proven practical experience in IT server infrastructure and virtualization systems
• Strong knowledge of virtualization solutions within the RedHat and OpenShift product range, including system architecture and initial deployment
• Very good understanding of system architecture and essential system engineering principles
• Familiarity with virtualization systems running multiple system components
• Knowledge of VMware, RedHat or comparable solutions is an advantage
• Experience with bug tracking and collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, Xray) is desirable
• Fluent German and English (negotiation level)
