Job Description
Responsibilities
- Act as SME & escalation point for operational support of network security infrastructure globally during North American business hours.
- Responsible for troubleshooting complex network and firewall related issues.
- Daily monitoring of security infrastructure, security logs and tools and be responsive to the automatic alerts to prevent outages.
- Maintain and optimize security monitoring and alerting system in Solar Winds.
- Continuously update vulnerability patches and work with vendor for security related recommendations.
- Collaborate with Information Security & Compliance team to assess, recommend and develop network infrastructure security initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in escalations, P1-P3 incident response tickets.
- Continuous improvements – participates in Problem Management, post‑mortems, root cause analysis and accelerate/advance the resolution of incidents impacting the Critical Production Environment & prolonging escalations.
- Contribute to exciting global projects – site buildouts, new acquisitions, new technology deployments, technology refreshes, etc.
- Stabilize newly deployed cutting edge network security solutions.
- Assist with business engagement/stakeholder communications for new deployments or continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate needs to be comfortable with collaborating closely with business stakeholders.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holiday coverage for any operational or project needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related technology field or equivalent certification and/or experience.
- 5+ years of hands‑on network and security experience.
- Candidate must have Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall troubleshooting and deployment experience.
- Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ACI experience is a plus.
